Chances are your ACC bill is wrong
We know some business people are probably being overcharged by ACC, have the wrong cover option, and are not being paid the right compensation.
Why is this the case?
Well ........ we reckon, hand on heart, that ACC invoices are just as complicated as a personal income tax return.
We have been delving into ACC invoices for a few of our clients and what we found was a little disturbing. We looked at a modest sample of 30 business groups, and found;
- 84% of the cases were wide of the mark
- of those, 60% were paying too much
- and another 16% had chosen the wrong cover option
We think these figures are ghastly. Most people pay their ACC invoices without question, and there is a very high likelihood given our modest research that the invoices are wrong!
Given the above issues, in our view, there should be a real question mark whether or not the ACC cover complements existing insurance cover.
Can we be confident that we are not doubling up or that we do not have a gap in the insurance protection?
