Minimum wage increase for 1st April 2025

The Government announced in December 2024 that starting from 1st April 2025, the adult minimum wage is set to rise to $23.50 an hour.  An increase of $0.35 per hour. 

The training and starting-out minimum wage will also increase to $18.80 an hour.  An increase of $0.28 per hour.

This is all part of the Governments objective to continue to protect the income of low-paid workers.

If you are an employer, now is the time to start making any necessary changes to your payroll systems & employment contracts ahead of the increase next month.
