ACC more complicated than personal tax

ACC, it's a bit like when someone says income tax - people pull faces and groan and moan and a thousand stories come out….

We bet you a coffee - no wait we bet you a coffee AND a muffin - that you find ACC a big nuisance (we know it's a done deal and it's figurative, we don't expect you to deliver the coffee and the muffins…!).

What is it about ACC that you find so annoying?  Are you on the right cover, or more accurately, do you know you have some choice around the type of cover?

We reckon hand on heart that ACC invoices are as complicated as personal income tax returns so no wonder you feel dread when you think of it.

We have been doing some delving into ACC invoices for a few of our customers - and what we found was a little disturbing….

We looked at about 30 business groups and found;

Only in 16% of the cases was the cover and cost correct

60% of them were paying too much

Another 16% had chosen the wrong cover option

We think these figures are ghastly. Most people pay their ACC invoices without question, and there is a very high likelihood given our modest research that the invoices are wrong!

So we had a think and we came up with this and we are going to be honest here - we are trying to sell you something - but it's motivated from trying to help. We came up with this thing called ACC cover and cost.

For $297 per year (plus GST) for self-employed, or $347 (plus GST) for employers, we make sure you have the right cover and are paying the correct amount to the ACC machine.

And the best thing is going into the future years we can also make sure that your ACC cover compliments your existing insurance cover  so you can be confident that you aren't doubling up or that you don't have a gap in your insurance protection.
